this day millions of people still play this game, some still from the game's launch. But I feel that this isn't as great of a game as everyone claims it to be. I feel that this is simply about all we have left...
World of Warcraft was released at the time in which Star Wars Galaxies was in rule of the MMORPG world. I can speak from experience of being a Star Wars Galaxies player almost from launch. I'm not here to "rip" on WoW, I'm just simply saying that I don't think it's the best. You see, when WoW was released, SWG was in it's prime. Sure there were bugs and glitches like any other game but it was about the gameplay. Much more than just gameplay but player-made gameplay. This was a time when anything you could imagine doing or being in SWG you could do or be. It was limitless, and that's just the game content. In it's prime there became very technical player based content including guilds, guild wars, player cities, player RPing and not to mention the incredible trading system for crafters. It was simply another life to most players. Imagine a game so complex that if you were to completely be a part of it you almost have two lives,
real life and game life. It's safe to say that this MMORPG was the most advanced of all others like it. You would need to have some good experience in this style of gaming to jump right into it, if not it could have taken people months to completely get the flow of things. It was by far the best, not only by opinion, but by major rankings and rewards.
